Bienvenidos.
Welcome to my website at Glacier High School. Here you will find information about upcoming events, study tips, and how to access homework assignments and resources. We are off to a wonderful start as we welcome new and returning students this year.
A brand new textbook, Descubre, which means discovery, is waiting for Spanish 1 students. We are very excited to be using this new curriculum, which incorporates a wide variety of online resources, as we learn Spanish conversational skills and first year grammar. By the end of the year, we won't be able to say everything we want to say, but we will be able to hold an interesting conversation in Spanish, as we talk about ourselves, our friends, and our community.
Spanish 2 students will be embarking on a year long odyssey of discovery as they learn how to use and implement the past and imperfect tenses in Spanish. No longer will we be speaking solely in the present tense. We will now be able to describe not only ourselves, friends, family and school right now, but also what we were like as children and what we used to like to do. The Spanish 2 curriculum also includes rich cultural components as well, and readings.
This year, all Spanish 1 and 2 students taking courses with me will need the following:
I am thrilled that we will be working together this year and will see you in class.
